I CAN SEE THE FINISH LINE!

Please excuse the yellow shopping bag I shoved in and the nasty carpet that I'm replacing with hardwood someday, as well as the inappropriate blinds that are in dire need of a trashcan, I'm waiting for the relaxed roman shades that I have to get around to ordering....
one
 potato.....
Two potato.....
and 2.75 potato!!!!

Almost done, almost there, can definately see the end, it is in sight~ I love, love, LOVE cubbies/boxes but there was an extreme amount of work put in to these. Multiple, and I mean it, layers of Kilz, staining, kilz, and staining some more. I did go with a Behr semigloss latex, waterbase Ultra White...say that 3 times fast.
but all of that elbow grease well worth it. the last .25 is a few touchups inside, and Kilz and paint the top, oh, and of course cut and paint the trim, then the three "potatoes" will be joined. yeah!!!!!!!

I did go with 100% Kreg Joinery, only used finishing nails for the upper thinner trim, bottom trim, Kregged!
These cubbies are very sturdy, no wiggle, no squeaks, no jiggle. I love them, have I said that? And the greatest part about these>  one month ago I wasn't a builder, had no plans to be, and then I came across Ana's site, and voila, I'm now sitting here typing covered in sawdust and paint, I love it!
I now see the finish line, and it looks great!
A few more pics, oh and a sidenote, I was able to find a smaller bit, after trying about 30, that was shorter and I was able to use that to join my Kreg holes inside the box!
This is the bedding I ordered for my Cubby top, I am cutting my old chair cushion, on a chaise to fit
My beautiful pup who's been busy digging holes while I've been distracted by my building....
