Update!!! Finally finished Donovan's stepstool! Taken from planhttp://ana-white.com/2010/09/some-more-stairs.html The build was easy, the hardest part, the most consuming of my life part? the hand engraving and painting his name. I chose a Disney Font, Gorgeous!
Always just one coat! 
This is the first time I'm painting my Walt Disney themed engraving.....
Takes a very steady hand and lots of patience...but I love it, and I hope this little guy does too.
Just about done, waiting for the skid proofing to dry,don't want this little monkey to fall off and bump his head, then one more coat of waterproofing, and it will be going to it's home on Monday.
Okay....the Monday thing didn't work out I painted over my own blue while waterproofing, clear my eye!
